Have lots of fun!!   Sleep well!!   Stay safe!!

Please respect the apartments as you would your own home.   Breakages and accidents are a part of life and can easily happen.Should something be broken during your visit, please let us know so that it can be repaired or replaced immediately and we don’t find out about it when the new arrivals call to complain. Thank you.

Many of our guests are visiting in order to complete a difficult challenge. This means that they go to bed early for an early rise. Please keep noise down at night to allow other guests to sleep well. In the same vein, if you are up early to complete a challenge then please remember that other guests may still be sleeping and looking for a long lie in, so please depart quietly.

On departure, please make sure that radiators are turned off, windows are left open slightly, and dishes are washed. Please check all cupboards and drawers for forgotten clothes. Please sign out of your Netflix account and make sure you remember your phone chargers.

Glenlochy Apartments have electric radiators. In winter we will control these by timer switches to keep the chill of the room before your arrival. After that, feel free to unplug the timer switch and keep the heating at your desired temperature – usually between 7 and 10 on the controls will keep the room warm. The bathrooms also have heated towel rails which can be switched on from the hallway in 1A and the kitchen in the studios. Please turn off heating on departure.

The windows can be opened fully if needed. There is a catch on the left-hand side of the mechanism. You need to PRESS the button to release the catch to either open or close. Please be careful not to jam your fingers.

Tumble Dryers

Flat 1A and Studio 3A have a tumble dryer. Studio 2A has a fantastic electric clothes horse with cover in the cupboard. Simply set up, plug in, place your clothes over the racks and cover. It dries very effectively. Please do not leave any tumble dryers on at night or when you go out or use after 10pm or before 8am.

Washing Machines

Each apartment has a washing machine and washing powder or pods are provided. Please avoid using after 10pm or before 8am.

The showers are thermostatic. In the case that the shower does not start, please pull the shower cord that hangs from the ceiling to turn it on.

Each guest will have a bath towel and a hand towel. If you are staying longer than two nights, then you will be given fresh towels on the third morning.

Electric hob

If you have a new electric hob (cooker top) then this is touch operated. Once switched on at the wall, hold your finger on the on/ off button for a couple of seconds. Then choose which burner you would like on, press the corresponding button on the hob and then press the + sign to increase the heat. Be careful as these burners heat up very quickly.

Bins / Trash

The large refuse bins are found round the back of the blue building (Fort William Studios). Black bin is for general rubbish and the blue bin for recyclable plastic, tin, paper and card. In light of the current Covid situation and for the safety of our staff, we ask you to take out your own rubbish to the bins at the back before your departure. Thank you.

We hope that you enjoy fantastic walks with your pets in the local area. However please can you towel off your dogs before entering and try to keep your dogs from jumping on the beds. Thank you. Some pet friendly restaurants are mention on the ‘Restaurant’ page of this booklet.
